Receivership
A receiver is a neutral third party appointed by a court, as an agent of the court, to execute its judgments or orders.
David has been appointed by the court as a receiver to enforce judgments and protect the property, business and assets of parties in dispute. David’s background as an practicing CPA, experienced commercial litigator, and business owner has provided him with the knowledge and experience to become well versed in real estate, business and law. As a business owner himself, he understands the importance of preserving the value of a company and its assets.
David has extensive experience as a receiver for medium-sized health care agencies to his most recent receivership for a multi-million dollar company handling complex commercial real estate. Under his receiverships, he has been asked to manage and sell real estate, oversee the daily transactions of an ambulance company, a home health agency, operate apartment complexes, investigate financial transactions, operate and sell income producing rental property, handle marital estate liquidations, enforce judgments, as well as operate and dissolve corporations and partnerships.
Although the receiver operates as an agent of the court, David understands how important it is to remain in constant communication with parties and their counsel throughout the progress of their case. At Calvillo Law, we are dedicated to protecting and improving the value of your real estate, business, or assets in a cost-effective manner while disputes are being resolved.
