David possesses extensive experience and training in Commercial and International Arbitrations. He has represented his own clients and also been selected by courts and litigants, both as a sole arbitrator and as a member on a panel of arbitrators.

Early in his career, David performed research into the viability of arbitration clauses for a growing Texas financial institution. Based on his findings, he was asked to draft arbitration clauses for inclusion in all of that financial institution's transactional documents, including Depositor Agreements, Promissory Notes, Loan Agreements, and Deeds of Trust. Years later, David found himself part of a litigation team that defended the right to seek arbitration under those same clauses throughout South Texas.

David has initiated and defended arbitration claims with the American Arbitration Association as well as the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), and in State and Federal Court.

David has been selected by numerous State Court Judges to serve as a court-appointed arbitrator and has also been selected by litigants to serve as the sole arbitrator or one of a panel of arbitrators in several disputes, guiding the process from preliminary scheduling conferences through hearing, and then drafting and issuing Arbitration Awards. He has also been selected by his fellow panel members as the Presiding Arbitrator.

David's training has come from his own private practice of law, in addition to receiving Advanced International and Commercial Arbitration training by the A.A. White Institute of Dispute Resolution at the University of Houston, and through the College of Commercial Arbitrators.  He holds a Certificate in Advanced International and Arbitration Skills, and has served as an Advisory Board Member of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration since 2009.

His extensive experience in arbitration has taken him through various fields of arbitration areas, including Commercial, Construction, Employment, and International Commercial Arbitrations.
